Chief is a great dog who loves his toys and enjoys being with humans.  He would do best in a home that didn't insist on crating him.  He crates well but he's happier when he can be part of the family.

Hi there,

I'm Cry Chief, but my friends call me Chief.  I've been here with my foster family for a couple of weeks and they've been slow to post.  (I kept reminding them but you know how humans can be).  In the meantime I have been learning the ropes about retirement.

There are these things here that the humans call "toys", but I really don't care what they are called, I LOVE them!  They squeak, and bounce, and are soft, and I love tossing them then chasing after them, then doing it again.  I also like to chase these "toys" in the yard when my foster parents toss them for me.  I don't really like to share my toys but I am getting some lessons from my foster family - they tell me it's the right thing to do.

I'm a big guy but I'm not too pushy.  I love attention but I'm also happy lounging on the most comfy doggie bed in the room.  (I'm retired so I deserve all these comforts).  I am good in my crate during the day but I would prefer to sleep on a dog bed in your room at night.  I like other dogs and cats but my foster family watches me closely while I am learning that not all cats like to play the chase game.
I'd really love to meet you.  If you are looking for a big guy with a soft heart then I'm your fella!
